Reconciliation Rising Yarn Mob and Ally Yarn: In person

Constitutional House

Last year, we convened post-referendum dialogues to connect, listen and learn. Through Respect Rising 1000 Western Australians shared their voice, stories and reflections, inspiring moments of healing and renewed hope. Collectively, those insights and experiences shape the reconciliation landscape and our next strategic horizon.

This year, we continue the Rising journey and invite the reconciliation community, Mob and allies to come together for meaningful Bridging Now to Next conversations. Centred on this year’s NRW theme, these Yarns explore Reconciliation WA’s Rising Program and new strategic horizon alongside guest speakers, in an opportunity to connect, reflect, and take meaningful steps forward together.

We are honoured to have next-generation leader, Tremane Baxter-Edwards from Wyndham, bringing his insights and experiences to the conversation.

Mob Yarn (10:30 AM – 12:30 PM): A dedicated space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to have a yarn with our co-chairs and speakers prior to lunch and the following session.

A light lunch will be provided between the Mob Yarn and Mob and Allies sessions for everyone to enjoy.

Mob and Allies Yarn  (12:00 PM – 2:30 PM): A space open to everyone in the reconciliation community to hear about the next horizon and how you can support it, and join interactive discussions with our speakers as we consider the NRW theme.

If you are joining us for the Open House Yarn we are pleased to invite you to stay on, as we hosting a screening of Genocide in the Wildflower State followed by a panel discussion with Yokai.
