Pathways to Truth Albany 2026 marks the beginning of a multi‑year journey toward truth‑telling, healing, and collective understanding as Western Australia approaches the State’s Bicentennial in 2029.
This gathering forms the first step in a broader series that includes:
- National Pathways to Truth (2027/28)
- International Pathways to Truth (2029)
Held on Kinjarling (Albany), the 2026 program will include:
- Mob Day – 25 November
A dedicated day for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to come together, share stories, lead dialogue, and engage in cultural and truth‑telling experiences. - Community Day – 26 November
An open, community‑wide day inviting all Western Australians to participate, listen, learn, and engage in conversations centred on truth, reconciliation, and shared future pathways.
This significant initiative is delivered in partnership with the National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth and Justice, Murdoch University, and Yokai.
As we move toward 2029, Pathways to Truth in Kinjarling will help shape the way WA acknowledges the past, understands the present, and walks forward together.
