Reconciliation Book Club

St Andrew's Church Hall 259 Barker Rd, Subiaco WA 6008, Australia

Welcome to the Reconciliation Book Club.

We’re excited to welcome the reconciliation community to join us and broaden their understanding of the reconciliation movement and topical issues which impact Aboriginal peoples.

The book club is for anyone interested in reading, exploring, and enjoying conversations about life, Country, connections, and change.

The purpose is to offer a safe, reflective, and generative space to have rich conversations; to build knowledge and expand ways of thinking, doing and being, having books (and perhaps other artforms) from both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal thinkers and writers as the starting point.

Book Club co-facilitators:  Alan Carter, Carole Winfield and Lanie Byk.

September 2023 Book

Title: We Come With This Place
We Come with This Place is deeply personal, a profound tribute to family and the Gudanji Country to which Debra Dank belongs, but it is much more than that.
Here is Australia as it has been for countless generations, land and people in effortless balance, and Australia as it became, but also Australia as it could and should be.
Author: Debra Dank
