Anthony Albanese has given an impassioned plea for Australians to support the Indigenous Voice to Parliament as a way of addressing intergenerational trauma and answering the call from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders themselves.
An Indigenous leader has warned WA will be one of the toughest jurisdictions to win support, in part due to the population being spread out, as Reconciliation WA launches its first community campaign.
Uluru Dialogue senior leader Nolan Hunter, a Reconciliation WA board member, said his work would be cut out for him in the State with it being harder to get out into the communities than in other parts of the nation….
