Genocide in the Wildflower State – Special Daily Screenings at Luna Cinemas (27 May to 3 June)

Luna Leederville and Luna on SX

Luna Cinemas are delighted to present this emotionally powerful documentary feature by WA filmmaker Frank Rijavec in association with YOKAI, and Bringing Them Home for National Reconciliation Week.

Screenings will take place every day between Mon 27 May to Monday 3 June, at 1.00pm and 6.30pm at Luna Leederville, and 11.00am at Luna on SX.

Genocide in the Wildflower State is a documentary feature about a violent, state-run system of eugenics, racial absorption, and social assimilation in Twentieth-Century Western Australia.

The film offers a deeply moving and disturbing exposé of the often denied and dismissed reality of racist state thinking, and the resulting misery families experience today. It gives voice to Survivors’ proposals on what must be done to redress the wrongs.
