Walk for Reconciliation: Boorloo/Perth

Langley Park

Bringing our National Reconciliation Week program to a close, Reconciliation WA presents the Walk for Reconciliation.

This year, we’re walking together in solidarity in Langley Park, Boorloo (Perth).

The journey will feature a Welcome to Country and key speakers before the commencement of the Walk, with multiple Smoking Ceremony fire pits for the walkers to pass through. Together we will walk alongside the bilya (river) through the park and ending in solidarity at the Supreme Court Gardens with guest performers.

We invite Elders and young people to lead the Walk with NRW posters and placards.

An NRW Education Zone will support schools and young people with reconciliation engagement and activities. Please note our Education Zone runs over three waves, so please choose a timing that suits your school!

PLEASE NOTE: These sessions are designed for 4-12 year-olds  along with guardians/teachers.

We encourage older participants to join us for the main walk from 12pm to 2pm.  The main walk will start at Langley Park and feature a Welcome to Country and key speakers, with multiple Smoking Ceremony fire pits and a large-scale sand-art piece.
