History is Calling

The Uluru Statement from the Heart is an invitation to the Australian people from First Nations Australians to walk together.
Its call is fair and reasonable.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese committed to implementing the Uluru Statement from the Heart at his acceptance speech, and at Garma Festival 2022 he reaffirmed this commitment.
We implore you to read, support and activate your commitment to the Uluru Statement from the Heart through your family and friendship groups, through your workplaces and your sporting clubs.
In turn, we commit to supporting our reconciliation community to feel informed and confident in their decision as we walk together towards a referendum to implement a Voice to Parliament.

Voice to Parliament short course
An introduction to the Voice to Parliament
In May 2017, over 250 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander delegates from all points of the Southern Sky gathered issued the Uluru Statement from the Heart to the Australian people, which invited the nation to create a better future for all of Australia.
This short 15 – 20 minute course created by From The Heart and Uluru Statement explores the first of these proposed reforms: enshrining an Indigenous Voice to Parliament in the Australian Constitution.
In the course, you’ll discover:
- What is meant by Indigenous Constitutional Recognition through a Voice;
- What a Voice to Parliament is, and is not; and
- Why a Referendum is required to make it happen.
Ready to act?
Referendums don't come around often, so it's important to talk to your friends, family and colleagues, and follow the Voice to Parliament campaign on social media.Â
