Community Leaders RING 19th and 20th September 2023

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the next step of this national-first, Place-based Reconciliation Pilot, in the Great Southern region of Western Australia.

Leaders from the Noongar community, RAP Partner organisations and reconciliation allies, come together with Reconciliation Australia’s CEO Karen Mundine, Reconciliation WA’s CEO Jody Nunn, and members of their senior leadership teams, for this significant co-design event in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia.

To assist with event planning, registrations are essential for everyone attending.

Community Leaders RING 19th and 20th September 2023 Country, Community & Co-design

Day 1:  Tuesday 19th September 2023 Time: 12pm  – 6pm   Location:  Albany WA (Depart/Return)
Connecting on Country is our opportunity to connect with culture, Country, and each other. This experience will take advantage of a slower pace, allowing for deep listening, learning and connection. Connecting on Country grounds the collective within a shared sense of place and understanding. It is an essential component of the program as we work together to build respectful relationships grounded on Country.

Day 2:  Wednesday 20th September 2023 Time: 9.30am – 3pm Location: Albany WA (venue tba)
Community Co-design workshop. In this session, attendees will create a shared understanding of place-based reconciliation that is unique to the Great Southern Region. Listening deeply and responding to community perspectives and experiences will guide the cohort to inform the Great Southern region’s Place-based Reconciliation Strategy and define the next steps for the pilot.

This is a significant moment for the reconciliation movement in the region, Western Australia, and Australia wide.

We look forward to taking this next step with you.
